Agent's Assistant (full-time)

Working from the London office Monday-Friday. Payne Management is seeking an experienced, hard-working and self-motivated assistant.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • At least 1 year’s experience working in a talent agency (particularly within an Actor’s department).

  • An excellent working knowledge of film, television and theatre. 

  • A knowledge of existing Casting Directors. 

  • Used to dealing with clients and colleagues across different time zones. 

  • An understanding of the nuances required when dealing directly with Talent. 

  • Experience working in an environment where confidentiality and discretion are paramount. 

  • The ability to work quickly and efficiently with a keen eye for detail. 

  • The ability to multitask and prioritise as required.  

  • A proactive personality and a willingness to embrace new ideas. 

  • Attending screenings and theatre performances out of hours is expected on occasion.  

Essential Experience: 

  • Previous experience as an Agent’s Assistant or directly related role.

  • Working knowledge of Tagmin Client Database.

  • Working knowledge of standard computer software including Microsoft packages and GoogleDrive.

  • Working knowledge of iMovie or similar editing software.

Essential Qualities:

  • Adaptability

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

  • Able to use self-initiative and to prioritise own workload 

 

Duties include (but not limited to):

  • Answering/filtering telephone calls.

  • Dealing with confidential information sensitively and with discretion.

  • Maintaining diaries for Agent and Clients.

  • Coordinating meetings.

  • Invoicing.

  • Basic accounts. 

  • Daily maintenance of the agency database and client folders.

  • Liaising with industry colleagues on behalf of Agent as required.

  • Note taking on conference calls and meetings.

  • Grammar checking and proofreading.

  • Sorting and forwarding client fan mail.

  • Basic video editing.

  • Attending screenings and theatre performances out of hours on occasion.

  • Other relevant admin duties as they arise.

Minimum Qualifications:

A-levels (or equivalent)

At least 5 x GCSEs at grades 9-4/A*-C’s

Typing speed 50 wpm

 

Salary: Dependent on experience

Office Assistant (part-time and holiday cover)

Working from the London office 8 - 10 hours per week plus holiday cover.

The ideal candidate will ideally have the following:

 

  • Some experience working in a talent agency (particularly within an Actor’s department).

  • Excellent organisation and admin skills.

  • A working knowledge of film, television and theatre. 

  • A knowledge of existing Casting Directors. 

  • Be used to dealing with clients and colleagues across different time zones. 

  • An understanding of the nuances required when dealing directly with Talent. 

  • Experience working in an environment where confidentiality and discretion are paramount. 

  • The ability to work quickly and efficiently with a keen eye for detail.
