Callina was born in Canada before moving to Australia and Singapore and now residing between Toronto and London. She holds a Diploma in Performance from the LASALLE College of Arts and was named a ‘Top of the World’ recipient for IGCSE Drama 2016.
Callina has attended acting classes and extended courses in New York to include the Stella Adler School of Acting and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She was also a student at The New School, where she was studying for a BFA in Drama pre-Covid. She has since transferred to the Toronto Film School.
During her training, Callina has taken on various stage roles to include: THE CHERRY ON TOP OF THE CHERRY (devised comedy); LOVE, LIES, TRICKS (Storytelling); IN BETWEEN SOMEWHERE AND NOWHERE (Physical Theatre) and the role of Ismene in THIS TOO SHALL PASS. She has also played leading roles in various short films for the NTU School of ADM, to include: CODA; SHE IS YOUR...?; BLIND DATE; LIMINAL.
Callina has gained a basic level of ballet, having trained for a year and appeared in ROMEO AND JULIET (Stuttgart Ballet) and SWAN LAKE (American Ballet Theatre). She also sings (soprano) and plays the piano to grade 5.
Outside of music and dance, Callina also loves her sport, she is a keen runner and has trained in martial arts (Silat and Wushu) for the last 2 years. She also loves languages from living and working around the world and is a fluent Mandarin speaker.
Callina is currently in London filming a regular role in a provocative new original drama from ITV - TELL ME EVERYTHING. The show is produced by Scott Bassett (Top Boy, Murdered For Being Different) and directed by Richard Senior (McDonald & Dodds, Humans, The Last Kingdom) and Marley Morrison (Sweetheart, Leroy) and will air in 2022.
