Assad trained at the Manchester Metropolitan School of Theatre.

Assad is regularly involved with workshopping new plays to include an UNTITLED DAVID EDGAR PROJECT and MOBY DICK for the RSC and CAPTAIN OF THE ENDS for the National Theatre; he can also be heard voicing Sathnam Sanghera’s critically acclaimed book, THE BOY WITH THE TOPKNOT.

Assad is currently shooting a regular character on a new series for PBS Television (to air on ITV1 in the UK) - more details to be announced later this year.
