Mark "Rhino" Smith
Mark was born in London but he has a hugely colorful heritage - Cherokee Indian, Jamaican, Ghanaian, Chinese and White. This mix along with his piercing green eyes has given him a very a distinctive and striking look.
He first catapulted onto ours screens as Rhino in the massive ITV series, Gladiators where he reigned for six years. He had previously won many major titles as a champion body builder and his aggressive style earned him his nickname – Rhino. It wasn’t long before he came to the attentions of the shows producers and his impressive physique and natural charm quickly made him one of their biggest stars. Since the show he has continued his vigorous training regime but he is now leaner and faster.
He has since gone on to carve a hugely successful acting career appearing in many films and TV dramas. He starred in the BBC's Robin Hood series and Lynda La'Plante's Trial and Retribution.
Warners cast him in his first major movie project in the blockbuster Batman Begins directed by Christopher Nolan. In 2011 he played one of Johnny Depps six core pirates on Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides untilising his stunt expertise alongside his acting skills.
Dividing his time between London and Los Angeles he went on to work on Argo directed by Ben Affleck, Frozen Ground shot in Alaska staring Nicolas Cage and John Cusack and most recently No Good Deed shot in Atlanta with fellow brits, Idris Elba and directer Sam Miller.
Mark was recently seen in feature film "Yardie" for Warp Films. Directed by Idris Elba.
