Georgia hails from the North-East and began acting with drama groups from an early age, including locally renowned youth theatre company ‘Jemms’ in Northumberland.
Georgia was offered a place at drama school, but with limited funds, she sought sponsorship and was overwhelmingly backed by hundreds of locals who had followed her performances over the years, alongside people nationwide who heard her story.
Additional support came from the Sammy Johnson memorial fund headed by Newcastle actor Tim Healy, as well as local creative charities and companies including ‘Jemms’, who staged a full production to raise funds.
Her talents continued to get her noticed at drama school where Georgia was awarded the Gielgud Bursary. Credits, whilst training, included: Miss Dyott in The Schoolmistress, Margaret Thatcher in Market Boy and Mrs Lynch in Coram Boy.
Since graduating, Georgia has worked in both screen and stage roles to include: ‘Inspector George Gently’ for BBC, ‘Aladdin’ for Whitley Bay Playhouse, ‘The Dolly Mixtures’ a new musical with music from John Miles, ‘The Cinder Path’ and ‘The Lambton Worm’ for The Customs House and a commercial for J C Penney which aired in the US
