GARY GRANT

 

‎Born and raised in Barnet, North London, Gary was a relative latecomer to the industry at 21 but made his professional debut as a regular character in HOLLYOAKS. Numerous TV roles followed but he is best known for his two year stint as DC Paul Riley in ITV’s THE BILL. Gary also played the role of Silver in the premiere run of Jim Cartwright’s acclaimed play HARD FRUIT at The Royal Court, London.

Film roles include: ENEMY LINES alongside Ed Westwick and John Hannah, directed by Anders Blake (Happy Hour Productions); Cristian Solimeno’s psychological thriller THE GLASS MAN, and Ben Pickering's WELCOME TO CURIOSITY.

In addition to his acting, Gary is building a successful career as a director. He made his directorial debut with the multi-award winning DAISY'S LAST STAND in 2009 which won ‘Best Film’ at the BAFTA hosted annual Film London awards, and ‘Best Film’ at ‘The Okanagan International Film Festival’ in Canada. He also went on to direct the feature film LIGHTER for Solaris Productions in 2011. 

Other directorial credits include LAST NIGHT A SERIAL KILLER SAVED MY LIFE (2013) for French Fancy Productions and INSIDE OUT (2014) for ‘Bad Beat Productions’.

Upcoming acting roles include THE LAZARUS PROJECT, a propulsive 8-part thriller for Sky directed by Laura Scrivano.
